If you feel stuck in life or are undergoing life changes, experiencing overwhelming emotion, feelings of anger, sadness, anxiety or depression, or past trauma, allow me the opportunity to help you navigate through this season of your life and on the pathway to health and wellness. If for any reason you feel debilitated by persistent anxious thoughts or constant uncontrolled worry, I can help you to dissolve the noise and find rest in a light and clear mental space.

Counseling can be beneficial in so many arenas:  mood disorders, anxiety, depression, addictions, relationship distress, marital, premarital, affair recovery, communication problems, self-esteem, boundaries, and more

While these struggles and challenges maybe and are often universal, there is only one you. Together we can tailor your therapy to fit your situation.

Typical Counseling Session

In our initial session, we take a look at:

  1. 1. What is the problem(s)? or What made you call?
  2. 2. What are the symptoms of this problem?
  3. 3. Duration and intensity of symptoms?
  4. 4. Possible cause(s) of the problem
  5. 5. What is the goal of therapy?
  6.

Using this as an outline to look historically (family systems) at patterns of behavior and going forward with (CBT) how to make the desired changes. As a disclaimer here in this initial session, I always tell clients that if we “don’t mesh” – I will gladly either refer or give options. Because it is more important that you continue to seek counsel than it is that you counsel with me. Mental health is more important than my ego!

Once we get to know each other, a typical counseling session is 60 minutes. During a session, we will be looking for increased insight from a previous sessions, homework, and self-reflection, and ways to implement.
